Redesign for NEWTON
Legal Entity Management

SAAS

Main Goal

Redesign and visually update NEWTON’s SAAS platform, creating a design system for a white-label approach.

Challenges

Addressing existing user flows, patterns, and IT structures to enhance the appeal and usability of the interface.

My Role

When I joined the B-Projects team to revamp NEWTON, I took on a multi-faceted role. Through user interviews and workshops, I delved into user needs and worked with stakeholders to update the SAAS, create an intuitive interface, and establish a robust design system.

UI/UX Design:

1. User-Centered Approach

Adopting a human-centered design methodology, we conducted workshops to uncover pain points and aspirations. By implementing trained user patterns and elements, the goal was to transform the user experience for finance professionals in trust funds, real estate investments, and investment companies.

2. WACG Guidelines

Adhering to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WACG) 2.0, Level A-AA, we prioritized a user-friendly interface for seamless accessibility and inclusivity.

3. Design Impact

The redesigned interface effectively tackled existing challenges. NEWTON emerged as a digital asset, providing real-time data reliability, traceable workflows, and cost-effective operations, all within a secure, cloud-based platform.

NEWTON successfully revolutionized corporate governance, breaking through silo barriers within organizations and reducing critical pain points for finance professionals.

4. Features

Data Reliability and Compliance:

NEWTON ensures a reliable, real-time platform by implementing security measures such as the 4-eye principle.

Enhanced Traceability:

Traceable workflows provide a transparent audit trail of all entity-related activities, promoting transparency and governance.

5. Conclusion

Through a transformative redesign, NEWTON now stands as a shining example of operational efficiency, providing cost-effective solutions and strengthening compliance standards in the area of legal entity management.

Customer Interactions

redefined through UI/UX Design
for Mesaic

Main Goal

Redefine customer interactions to design a best-in-class Conversational User Interface (CUI) for messaging and voice platforms.

Challenges

The project revolved around revitalizing an existing service, demanding an up-to-date design and the creation of a consistent design system. The goal was to establish a foundation for quicker, more consistent, and higher-quality design work.

My Role

I was the lead product designer on the product team. I was responsible for setting up the product design system and creating a brand design for marketing.

UI/UX Design:

1. Workshops for user-centered design

The design team kicked off the project with immersive design workshops. The focus of these sessions was a deep understanding of user needs and expectations. The results helped guide the entire process of designing and prototyping.

2. Creative user story framework

Moving away from traditional user stories, the team adopted a job story framework during design workshops.

Context-driven narratives

→ context/situation  → motivation/need → outcome/goal provided a more holistic understanding of user behavior.

3. Design Principles

The team ensured a sustainable and accessible design by prioritizing text readability and color contrast, in accordance with WACG guidelines. Design choices were aligned with the principles of intelligence, performance, and human engagement.

4. Features

As the project progressed, we introduced features like setting up the interface for a sophisticated backend business process editor.

5. Conclusion

The Mesaic project concluded in 2019, The project left an indelible mark despite concluding in May 2019. Design choices and insights from workshops and the amazing team behind this project were a highlight in my UI/UX journey.
